View on GitHubFrom 2017 to 2022, I studied architecture at the University of Notre Dame, culminating in a thesis inspired by the ruins of Halcyon Hall in Millbrook, NY. Once a grand hotel turned girls' school, the site was slated for demolition during my 2021 internship nearby. I proposed a new hotel honoring its historic footprint, blending Millbrook’s rich heritage with a vision to revitalize the property as a destination in the Hudson Valley.
From 2019 to 2020, I studied abroad in Rome, immersing myself in the city's rich artistic heritage. During this time, I explored various media, including charcoal, ink, and watercolor, to capture the essence of Roman architecture, landscapes, and everyday life. This collection showcases my artistic growth and my deep connection to the timeless beauty of Rome.
During my year abroad in Rome, I filled my notebooks with sketches of architectural details and notes on the histories of the sites I visited as part of Notre Dame’s architecture program. These studies deepened my understanding of architectural history, inspiring me to draw lessons from the past to inform thoughtful and relevant designs for today’s world.
